Quality Without Compromise.

I began learning professional photography from the school of hard knocks at age 16. I had to earn respect for everything, and learned quickly that my actions and attitudes had a profound impact on the client.

Learning the fundamentals of intent, composition, light and content is something I value in my career as a visual communicator. They are the basics that need to be practiced and honed until they become second nature – Then they need to practiced and practiced again.

With over forty years as a photographer, I understand clients expect to be guided into the right light, the right places, arranged properly, and for things to be subtly changed as needed. Compositions need to be balanced, have variety, contrast, unity and appropriate proportions.

There needs to be a sense of fun and enjoyment without feeling hassled. The assurance of experience, and someone trained and practiced in their event to understand and guide whilst still achieving great imagery.

This designation is a mark of respect and recognition of seniority and experience and is only awarded to AIPP accredited members, who have been members for 15 years or more.

“When words become unclear, I shall focus with photographs. When images become inadequate, I shall be content with silence.”
“There is only you and your camera. The limitations in your photography are in yourself, for what we see is what we are.”
“Black and white are the colors of photography. They symbolize the alternatives of hope and despair to which mankind is subjected.”
